AFCON 2023: Iheanacho and Moffi to play for the Super Eagles against Cote d’Ivoire

Kelechi Iheanacho and Terem Moffi, who arrived late, demonstrated impressive performances during the Super Eagles’ training on Monday night at Ecole Nationale de la Police in Abidjan.

Iheanacho, initially uncertain for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations due to a muscle injury sustained while playing for Leicester City in the Sky Bet Championship, appeared fit and prepared for upcoming matches.

The 27-year-old, along with vice-captain William Troost-Ekong and winger Moses Simon, addressed the team before the training session commenced.

Moffi, who joined the team at their Pullman Hotel base on Sunday, showcased his readiness for action through an energetic display during training.

The Super Eagles will intensify their preparations for Thursday’s Group B fixture against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire with a closed-door training session on Tuesday.
