The MTN new codes includes
To recharge dial 3551PIN# for example 35511234567890# which does not support or comes with a bonus recharge.
To check main balance dial *556#
To buy data bundle dial *131# and select bundle plan
To check data balance dial 1314#
To buy special data bundles dial *121#

So the difference between the old recharge code and new code is 555 and 3551.
