Actor Williams Uchemba believes that the phrase “you can be whoever you want to be” has caused many people to die prematurely, frustrated and desperate. In an article shared on his social media account, the actor stated that people should seek to be who God wants them to be, not who they want to be. He wrote;
” One of the biggest lies I believed in my whole life. To this day we still see people making the same mistakes, that is, lies that you can be who you want to be. This sentence has caused many people to die prematurely, depressed and desperate. Imagine telling the sofa that it can be a refrigerator or a refrigerator, if you believe it, it can be a bed. Before the sofa manufacturer starts to manufacture it, you already know the purpose of the sofa and the problems it wants to solve. Before he started, manufacturing completed the product in his mind. Just like sofas, refrigerators, and beds, everyone on the planet is created for a different purpose, but the biggest problem they face is how to discover your purpose. Whenever a product is created, there are usually two ways to find out the purpose of the product (1) ask the manufacturer or (2) read the manual that comes with the product.
You are a product created by the manufacturer (God), who knows what you will be before you are born (Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; Before you were born, I sanctified you; I appoint you as a prophet of all nations”) and how you will function better, but we live in a world that is constantly trying to figure out its purpose, reading everything and asking everyone except the creator. When you insist on creating your When the Creator (God) and Manuel (God’s Word) provided by him, I bet your purpose on earth will be revealed.
